Technical Fishing Clothing, Polarised Sunglasses & Waterproof Luggage

Built to fish, not to pose.
Fortis designs polarised fishing sunglasses, waterproof carp fishing clothing, waders & footwear, thermal layers, binoculars and waterproof luggage made for real sessions. Everything we make is tested bankside in bad light, cold mornings, long overnighters and proper rain — not just in a studio.

We started with one job: help anglers see deeper using high-performance polarised fishing sunglasses that cut surface glare, protect your eyes and let you spot fish, weed beds and patrol routes you’d normally miss. That same mindset now runs through the full range: stay warmer & stay drier.

Our core ranges

  • Sunglasses: Polarised fishing sunglasses with fishing-specific tints (Amber, Brown, Green, Grey, SWITCH photochromic) and glare-killing coatings. See through water, reduce eye strain and read the swim faster.
  • Clothing: Layering systems for real bankside weather — base layers, sherpa and insulated mids, waterproof shells, salopettes, hoodies and joggers. Quiet, low-key, built to work not shout.
  • Marine: Lightweight 3-layer waterproof shells and waterproof fishing trousers that keep you moving in sustained rain. Storm protection without bin-bag clamminess.
  • Tundra: Serious winter insulation for long, static cold sessions. Pair with a Marine shell and you’ve basically built a full winter carp fishing suit.
  • Optics: Binoculars and phone polarising filters that help you see further, locate fish at range and make better calls from the bank.
  • Luggage & Accessories: Waterproof dry bags, bankside-ready packs, insulated mugs and bottles, umbrellas and small kit that makes 24–48 hours on the bank livable — organised, weatherproof, built for mud.

Why anglers choose Fortis

  • See deeper: Polarised lenses cut surface glare so you’re not guessing — you’re watching fish.
  • Stay warmer: Insulation that actually works at 3am, not just “looks warm.”
  • Stay dry: Waterproof shells and trousers designed for rain that doesn’t stop.
  • Move properly: Cuts that let you cast, net and walk swims without fighting your kit.
  • Low-key styling: Quiet, functional, not covered in loud branding.

Are Fortis sunglasses actually polarised?

Yes. All Fortis fishing sunglasses use polarised lenses to kill reflected surface glare, improve water visibility and reduce eye fatigue.

We also offer prescription polarised fishing sunglasses — see our Prescription page.

Is your clothing waterproof?

Mid layers are about warmth and comfort. For sustained rain, pair an insulating mid (Tundra / Snugpak-style warmth) with a Marine shell jacket and matching waterproof fishing trousers for full weather protection.

Do you ship direct?

Some accessories and online exclusives are available direct, but most of the range goes through approved Fortis stockists so you get the right fit and lens choice first time.

Find a retailer?

We only supply through approved retailers. Use the Fortis stockist finder to try lens tints outdoors, get the right jacket size and check footwear fit before you buy.

Can I try products in person?

Yes. You can handle frames, compare lens tints in daylight and get sized for waterproofs at approved retailers.

Visit the Stockists page to find your nearest store. We always recommend calling ahead if you’re travelling for a specific item or size.
